The Bowling Green Independent School District is governed by an elected board of five members. Board of Education members are elected to four year terms. A Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected semi-annually. The Board of Education meets regularly at 6:30 P.M. on the second Monday of each month. Special meetings may be called by the Chairman - when appropriate. When special meetings are called, a 24-hour notice is given to all board members and the local media. Meetings are held in the New Board Room at the District Office located at 1211 Center Street in Bowling Green.
