The Bowling Green Board of Education will meet in a Special Session on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. The Board will hear a recommendation to begin school on August 24th, with the hybrid, Purple / Gold schedule for at least two weeks, OR if necessary, begin on August 24th with all students participating in Non-Traditional Instruction. Changes to the district calendar and back-to-school plans are based on both Governor Beshear and Interim Education Commissioner Brown’s recommendations, as well as continued spike of COVID-19 cases in our community and across Kentucky.
During the meeting the Board of Education will also consider a construction project at Bowling Green High School, Phase 3, which will include the construction of a new football field, track, and bleachers on the BGHS site.
The board will also consider an emergency leave policy for staff related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
