School officials from Bowling Green Independent Schools will discuss grades, progress reports, and the ACCESS test, plus provide resources for families to prepare for the next language assessment. The ACCESS test is used to determine a student’s annual progress learning the English language. It evaluates both social and academic language skills, and is tied to Kentucky’s English language standards.
Spanish and Swahili Translators will be available.
A meal and childcare for grades K-4 will be provided.
Community agencies will also be available at the Multilingual Family Night, sharing information about local services. A few of those organizations include the Housing Authority Learning Center, BG Refugee, the International Center, KY Steps, and Lifeskills.
