2019-20 Handbook (English | Spanish)
The 2019-20 Handbook is linked from the district website. A few items to note:
Attendance Policy: A student is allowed 5 days excused with parent notes and 7 days with doctor notes per school year. After 7 doctor notes have been used, the district medical excuse form must be submitted. This policy was approved in 2018 to reduce the percentage of chronic absenteeism in our district. Students missing 10% of the school year (17 days) are considered chronically absent, whether absences are excused or unexcused.
The new Acceptable Use Policy in the 2019-20 handbook includes the one-to-one Chromebook program with detailed expectations of device use in the district.
A new notice is included this year on page 19, stating the penalties for second degree terroristic threatening, which is a Class D felony.

Most annual forms and releases are completed through Online Registration however, there are a few forms that are not included in the online system. These forms include Household Income Verification, which provides data for federal programs such as the Family Resource and Youth Services Centers; Health Services Forms, which provide student-specific health information to our school health clinics, and the Title I compact, which is school-specific. If you have not already, please complete and return these forms to your child’s school as soon as possible.
