Parker-Bennett-Curry Welcomes Kelli Brooks as Interim Principal
Superintendent Gary Fields has announced that Kelli Brooks will serve as Interim Principal of Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary beginning January 6, and for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
Current principal, Delvagus Jackson has been appointed to a new role as Director of Alternative Programs and Safety, effective January 6, 2025.
Brooks retired from BGISD in 2023 after serving 10 years as principal and 16 years as a teacher at W. R. McNeill Elementary School.
Throughout her career, Brooks demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence, building and maintaining a high standard for academic achievement but also a culture of professional growth for teachers.
"We are happy to welcome Mrs. Brooks back to a leadership role in our district," said Fields. "Her proven record makes her an ideal choice to lead Parker-Bennett-Curry during this transitional period."
Brooks will serve as interim throughout the 2025 spring semester. The search for a permanent principal for PBC will begin in February.
