Pursuant to KRS 160.380, every new employee hired must be fingerprinted and have a completed State and/or Federal background check. Employment is contingent upon a background record free of any information which, in the opinion of the school district, would have an adverse effect upon the ability to perform assigned duties. Additionally, employment shall be contingent on receipt of a letter from The Cabinet for Health and Family Services documenting that the individual does not have a substantiated finding of child abuse or neglect in records maintained by the Cabinet. These requirements will be completed at not cost to the new employee.
