TC Cherry Elementary is thrilled to welcome Brooke Hatfield as our new first grade teacher! Originally from Louisville, KY, Brooke moved to Bowling Green to pursue her degree in Elementary Education at Western Kentucky University—and she’s been sharing her love of learning ever since.
With three years of experience teaching first grade, Brooke also holds a Master’s degree in Math Education and is currently expanding her expertise by studying the Science of Reading. Her strong foundation in both literacy and numeracy makes her a powerful asset to our early primary team.
“I’m absolutely elated to join BGISD and the TC Cherry family,” Brooke shared. “It feels like a dream come true. The warm welcome I’ve already received makes it clear this is a place full of meaningful traditions, strong community, and genuine care.”
Brooke comes from a family of educators and brings not just experience, but enthusiasm. She describes teaching as the place where she feels most herself—connecting with students by sharing in their interests and celebrating the joy of learning together.
Outside the classroom, Brooke loves bright colors, playing sports, and diving into a good book. We’re excited to have her vibrant spirit and heartfelt commitment joining our TC Cherry team this school year!
