TC Cherry is thrilled to welcome Megan Houchins as our new Special Education MSD teacher! As she begins her 19th year in education, Megan brings with her not only deep experience but also a contagious enthusiasm for building connections and supporting every learner.
A proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, Megan is excited to give back to the Bowling Green community that helped shape her. “I’m so thankful to get to work and give back to this awesome community,” she shares. “I look forward to helping instill a life-long love of learning, building relationships, and ensuring that all students feel safe, loved, and supported.”
Megan’s approach to teaching centers around inclusion, kindness, and joy—and that joy carries into her life outside the classroom. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to new places, hanging out with friends and family, reading celebrity gossip and true crime stories, and crocheting. She's also a proud "fur mama" to her pets, Sabrina the cat and Thor the dog.
Megan’s fun personality is easy to spot—she adores zebras, naps, Chinese food, math, and music. She’s already looking forward to a year filled with growth, connection, and lots of learning.
