Bowling Green Junior High Addition and Renovation

The BGJHS addition and renovation project begins May 2026, adding spaces for band, orchestra, choir, drama, science classrooms and labs, and a multipurpose room for technology and media. Construction will occur from the existing school toward the bus loop, creating an additional hallway inside the building. These additions also allow classrooms to be repurposed in the current hallways.

The school’s front office, cafeteria, kitchen and food storage areas will be renovated and expanded. And finally, the media center and main hallways of the school will be renovated, with improvements to acoustics and the removal of lockers in the halls.

The project will be led by RossTarrant Architects, with construction management by Alliance Corporation.

Construction is estimated to cost $23 million and will be ongoing for 20 months.

Bowling Green Junior High, 900 Campbell Lane, opened in August of 2001 for the district’s 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Approximately 1,000 students are enrolled at BGJHS.
