USDA Logo Summer Nutrition Programs

Summer meal programs help ensure children and teens have the nutrition they need when schools are not in session. Free summer meals, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), are available to all children and teens ages 18 and under. Adult meals are $3 for breakfast, and $5 for lunch.

Bowling Green Independent Schools will offer free meals June 2 - August 1 (Closed July 3rd and July 4th).

The following sites will be open Monday-Friday with breakfast served from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  • Bowling Green High School, 1801 Rockingham Lane

  • Dishman McGinnis, 375 Glen Lily Road

  • Parker-Bennett-Curry, 165 Webb Drive

The Purple Bus will deliver lunch meals to the following locations Monday-Friday:

  • Lisa Rice Library (WCPL): 11:20a-12:00p

  • Creekwood Apartments: 12:15p-12:50p

  • Russell Sims Aquatic Center: 1:00p-1:15p

A BGISD Van will deliver lunch meals to the following locations Monday-Friday:

  • International Center of Kentucky: 10:00-10:35a (**Monday-Thursday)

  • Garden Apartments: 10:50a-11:10a

  • Phenix Place: 11:15a-11:30a

  • T. C. Cherry Elementary: 11:40a-11:55a

  • Circus Square Park: 12:05p-12:30p

  • Abel Court: 12:35-12:50p

  • West End Park: 12:55p-1:10p

Children must be present and eat on site where meals are distributed.
