Bowling Green High School is proud to announce the hiring of Ben Mujcic as the new Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Program.
Coach Mujcic has extensive experience in player development, program building, and community leadership that will help lead the Purples into the next chapter of success.
Since December 2020, Mujcic has served as Founder and current President/Director of Coaching for the Bowling Green Football Club (BGFC). Under his leadership, BGFC has grown from a semi-professional team to a thriving youth development organization. The Club now provides more than 200 young athletes the opportunity to train and compete through the BGFC Academy.
Mujcic holds a U.S.S.F. National B License, reflecting advanced training in player development, tactical instruction, and long-term athlete development models. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong technical foundations, discipline, accountability, and competitive standards while fostering character and teamwork. He’s also a proud alumnus of Bowling Green High School (Class of 2013), and understands the expectations, tradition, and championship culture associated with Purple Soccer.
District Athletic Director Calvin Head expressed enthusiasm about the hire, “We are excited to welcome Coach Mujcic as our new leader of our BGHS Soccer Program. As a Purple Soccer Alum we feel that Coach Mujcic understands the vision of Purples Soccer and can continue to build on its rich history and tradition.”
Coach Mujcic’s vision for player development — both on and off the field — aligns with Bowling Green High School’s commitment to excellence in athletics and academics.
We look forward to the leadership, energy, and passion Coach Mujcic will bring to the Purples Soccer Program.
