Bowling Green Junior High School is proud to announce Oshkea Carothers as the new Head Cheer Coach for the BGJHS Cheer Program.
Carothers brings more than a decade of experience within the Purples Cheer community, having served as an assistant coach for both the Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green Junior High School programs. During her tenure, she has been part of remarkable success, contributing to 1 National Championship, 5 High School State Championships, and 4 Middle School State Championships.
Her deep roots in the program and commitment to student-athletes make her a natural fit to lead BGJHS Cheer into its next chapter.
District Athletic Director Calvin Head shared his enthusiasm for the hire:

As a veteran coach with a deep understanding of our program’s tradition, she brings both experience and passion to the role. Oshkea’s genuine care for students is evident, and we are confident she will honor our strong legacy while continuing to elevate the program to new heights.”
