BOWLING GREEN, KY – Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green Independent School District are proud to announce the hiring of Jay Eastridge as the next Head Baseball Coach of the Purples baseball program.

Eastridge brings a wealth of coaching experience, a championship background, and a proven commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy centers on accountability, discipline, effort, and relationship-building—values that align closely with the tradition and expectations of Bowling Green Athletics.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Eastridge to Bowling Green High School," said Calvin Head, District Athletic Director. "Throughout the interview process, Jay demonstrated a clear vision for the future of our baseball program and a commitment to developing young men of character. His passion for the game, championship experience, and ability to build meaningful relationships made him the right choice to lead our program."

Most recently, Eastridge served as Associate Head Baseball Coach at Central Hardin High School, where he played a key role in helping guide the program from a 14-21 record in 2025 to a 19-15 season and a 17th District Championship in 2026. During his tenure, he worked alongside former Major League Baseball All-Star Stevie Delabar.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Eastridge has served as a volunteer assistant for the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Junior and Senior East-West All-Star Games, building relationships with many of Kentucky’s top baseball players and coaches. He has also worked with the University of Kentucky Baseball program as a camp coach, gaining valuable experience alongside collegiate coaches.

Prior to Central Hardin, Eastridge served as an assistant coach at LaRue County High School, where he contributed to three district championships and two regional championships.

As a player, Eastridge earned All-Area and All-District honors at LaRue County High School before spending time with the Western Kentucky University Baseball program. Eastridge later transferred to Lindsey Wilson College, where he continued his playing career. During his time at WKU, he met his wife, Taylor. Jay and Taylor have three children: Jayke, Jaxon, and Teagan.

Eastridge expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to join Purple Nation and continue the proud tradition of Bowling Green Baseball.

“I am incredibly excited, honored, and truly blessed to lead the Bowling Green High School baseball program. I look forward to pouring into these young men and molding them into great husbands, fathers, employees, and exceptional ballplayers. The work starts now, and the standard will be high. Thank you to Mr. Fields, Mr. McGraw, Mr. Head, and Mr. Lowe for the opportunity. Go Purples!”
