Bowling Green High School is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Chris Riggs as the new Head Coach of the Purples Softball Program.
Coach Riggs brings a wealth of experience, success, and leadership to Bowling Green. A member of the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, he was named 2016 Coach of the Year and guided his teams to Regional Championships in 2016 and 2017, along with a third-place finish in the KHSAA State Softball Tournament.
Coach Riggs will officially begin his duties with the program on Thursday, October 30. He also plans to host a parent meeting on Thursday, November 6, following team conditioning. The meeting location will be announced soon.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Riggs to the Purples family,” said Calvin Head, BGISD District AD. “His proven leadership, experience, and commitment to developing student-athletes align perfectly with the vision and values of our program.”
